They got Channel I’s best band of the year award on 2008 and Citycell’s best band of the year award on 2011.The band has saveral lineup changes.Currently the band members are like the follows. They are one of the most popular band in Bangladesh and has given hit songs like : “Odvut Shei Cheleti”, “Nikkrishto”, “Aanmoney”, “Jodi Konodin”, “Chaitey Paro 2008”, “Aushomapto”, “Proticchobi”. Till now their most successful album is “Aushomapto 2” which was released on Octoby ME Label. Then they released Notun Diner Michhile (2002), Dhrubok (2003), Aushomapto 1 (2008), Aushomapto 2(2011), Cancer er Nishikabyo (2016) one by one. It gained more success than the previous one. After that their second studio album was released on December 10, 2001. After signing contract with G-Series aurthohin released their first album titled “Trimatrik” on 7th October, 2000. Though they are formed as a rock band but they also have released track in genres like progressive metal and groove metal.
Till now they have released 7 Studio albums and some mixed album tracks. He did the first ever unaccompanied bass solo in Bangladesh when he was 17.Aurthohin is a bangladeshi rock band formed in 1998 by Saidus Suman (Vocals and Bass Guitar), Tonmoy Rahman (lead guitar), Ponir (rhythm guitar) and Rumi Rahman (drums and percussion). He joined one of the most popular bands of Bangladesh 'Feelings' as a bassist when he was 17 where he played with the greatest rockstar of Bangladesh, Faruq Mahfuz Anam, commonly known as James. Since then he started playing bass guitar. One day he was seeing an Iron Maiden show on TV. Overall the album Aushomapto-1 was one of the hit albums of the year 2008 and the band won Best-Band Award in 2008. Most people specially teenagers liked that song. He picked up his first Spanish guitar and formed his first band when he was 12. The another hit song of this album was 'Chaite Paro-2'. In an interview, Sumon stated that he was unable to buy a Spanish guitar, so he took his Hawaiian guitar to a shop and converted it to a Spanish guitar. He started playing Hawaiian guitar at the age of 7. After that, he completed his graduation from Dhaka City College.
He attended Government Laboratory High School. He has two brothers named Shamsul Arefin Khaled and Saiful Arefin Khaled along with a sister named Shahina S. Sumon was born in 1973 in Dhaka, Bangladesh to Nazmul Ahsan Khaled and Shamsun Nahar Khaled.
